Presentation

The project “concrete floating platform to exploit wind resources in deep waters (MENHIR)" is financed by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Offshore wind technology is expected suppose more than 40% the European wind market in 2030, so that the development of a specific technology with high power wind turbines and a reduction of total costs of offshore projects, optimizing the processes of installation, operation and control, is essential today.

The MENHIR project aims to develop a new technology, non-existent till now, to develop a submersible platform for offshore wind projects in deep waters, fully built in concrete and manufactured in floating dam.
