Research Team

The research team of the Hydrological Rehabilitation of the Permeable Resilient, Smart and Sustainable Urban Surfaces (SUPRIS) is composed of the following researchers linked to the University of Cantabria and the Universitat Politècnica de València:



Subproject 1:

Jorge Rodríguez Hernández

Professor of the Construction Engineering Area, Main Researcher (IP in Spanish) of the project and responsible of the Laboratory of the Sustainable Urban Systems (SUDSlab) of the University of Cantabria.

Francisco Ballester Muñoz

Senior Professor of the Construction Engineering Area, specialized in equipment and sustainable construction procedures and Manager of the Construction Technology Applied Research Group of the University of Cantabria (GITECO-UC).

Elena Blanco Fernández

Associate Professor of the Construction Engineering Area, specialized in materials characterization and technical manager of the Geosynthetics Laboratory of the University of Cantabria (LAGUC).

Juan Carlos Canteras Jordana

Professor of the Ecology Area, specialized in water quality analysis and techniques of treatment, and Manager of the Ecology Research Group of the University of Cantabria.

Agustín M. Ascorbe Salcedo

Professor of the Hydraulic Engineering Area, specialized in hydraulics and hydrology.

Elena Castillo López

Professor of the Cartographic, Geodesic and Photogrammetric Engineering Area, specialized in statistical analysis, GIS and multi-criteria analysis.

Ignacio Lombillo Vozmediano

Associate Professor of the Building Technology Research Group (GTED), specialized in rehabilitation and urban regeneration.

Jaime Carpio García

Contracted Doctor, specialized in mechanical tests of construction materials.

Valerio C.A. Andrés Valeri

Assistant Professor at Universidad Austral de Chile, specialist in permeable paving, construction materials and water quality.

Daniel Jato Espino

Contracted researcher specialist in hydraulic models, geographic information management and multi-criteria analysis.



Subproject 2:

Ignacio Andrés Doménech

Assistant Professor of the Hydraulic Engineering Area, member of the Research Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering(IIAMA), specialized in hydraulics and hydrology, analysis of precipitation, sustainable drainage and tools to support decision making process.

Miguel Martín Monerris

Professor of the Environmental Technologies Area, member of the Research Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering(IIAMA), specialized in water pollution, water treatment, artificial wetlands, water quality models.

Vicent Benedito Durá

Professor of the Ecology Area, member of the Department of Hydraulic Engineering, specialized in ecosystem services, environmental assessment and social considerations.

Eduardo Albentosa Hernández

Professor of the Hydraulic Engineering Area, member of the Research Institute of Water and Environmental Engineering (IIAMA), specialized in pluviometric characterization, mathematical modeling of hydrologic and hydraulic processes in urban environment, and environmental assessment of infrastructures.

Carmen Hernández Crespo

Contracted Doctor, specialized in wastewater analysis and treatment análisis, eco-technologies and water quality models.
