First tests after 6 months immersion
Prismatic samples submerged during 6 months were emerged and analysed at the beginning of December 2018. For this evaluation, a photograph of each colonized face has been taken and the species identified and weighted. After the macro-organisms were scraped off, a scan was carried out on each sample to measure the biofilm cover percentage with an image editor. Finally, the mechanical properties of the prismatic samples were evaluated in order to see potential deterioration of said properties.
